Cleopatra

 Cleopatra VII Philopator, commonly known as Cleopatra, was the last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt. She was born in 69 BC and ruled Egypt from 51 BC until her death in 30 BC. Cleopatra is one of the most famous and iconic figures in history, known for her beauty, intelligence, and political acumen. Cleopatra's reign was marked by political intrigue and alliances with powerful Roman leaders, particularly Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. She was known for her charm and charisma, which she used to advance Egypt's interests and maintain her own power. Cleopatra is perhaps best known for her relationships with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. She had a son with Caesar named Caesarion, who was believed to be his heir. After Caesar's assassination in 44 BC, Cleopatra aligned herself with Mark Antony, one of the triumvirs ruling Rome. Their relationship was both political and romantic, and they had three children together. Cleopatra's involvement with Mark Antony led to the famous Battle of Actium in 31 BC, where they were defeated by Octavian (later Emperor Augustus). Following their defeat, Cleopatra and Mark Antony committed suicide, with Cleopatra famously dying from the bite of an asp. Cleopatra's life and reign have been the subject of numerous works of art, literature, and film over the centuries. She is often portrayed as a seductress and femme fatale, but modern interpretations have sought to highlight her political prowess and leadership skills.
